Bela (UNA) – Continuous rainfall for the past 24 hours in Bela and its surrounding areas has severely disrupted daily life, leaving markets deserted, farmlands devastated, and villages cut off from the city.
According to local reports, heavy showers have destroyed cotton and vegetable crops, inflicting financial losses worth millions of rupees on farmers. The persistent downpour also crippled the power supply system, while unpaved roads became impassable, cutting off ground access between several villages and the city.
In upper regions, rainfall triggered flooding in low-lying areas, raising fears of flash floods and swollen streams. The situation has left residents struggling with mobility, electricity outages, and mounting agricultural damage.
