LASBELA (6 AM Report): At least nine people were killed and two others injured when a passenger coach collided with two pickup vehicles near Faqeera Stop in Othal, Lasbela district, police said.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospitals in Othal and Bela. According to police, the coach was en route from Quetta to Karachi, while the pickups were traveling from Karachi to Khuzdar.
Meanwhile: The Government of Balochistan on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident near Othal in Lasbela district that claimed nine lives.
Provincial government spokesperson Shahid Rind said the authorities stand with the families of the deceased in their grief. He added that the injured are being provided with the best possible medical treatment.
Rind further stated that the district administration and rescue teams were immediately directed to launch relief and rescue operations. Police and emergency services promptly shifted the bodies and injured to hospitals in Othal and Bela.
“The cause of the accident is being investigated, and strict adherence to traffic laws is essential to prevent such tragedies in the future,” the spokesperson said.
