Quetta (ANN) – The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) conducted inspections in Killi Barat and surrounding areas, imposing fines on several establishments, including one restaurant and three general stores, for violations of food safety regulations.
According to a BFA spokesperson, the restaurant was penalized for poor hygiene and the personal cleanliness of staff, as well as for failing to display manufacturing and expiry dates on food items. The inspection also revealed the use of chemical-printed paper and newspapers for packaging food products.
In addition, the general stores were found selling expired spices and sweets. Prohibited items, including gutka and non-food grade colorings, were also seized during the operation.
The BFA spokesperson emphasized that strict actions will continue against violators to ensure the public has access to safe and quality food products.
