QUETTA (UNA): Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chairman and head of Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aeen Pakistan, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, has termed the shutter-down and wheel-jam strike across Balochistan as a “historic public referendum” against tyranny, fake mandates, and state-sponsored terrorism.
In his statement, Achakzai praised the people of Balochistan, including traders, students, laborers, transporters, and various segments of society, for voluntarily closing their businesses, offices, institutions, and transport in response to the all-parties call. He said this collective display of unity, courage, and awareness proved that the real owners of the country are its people, not those imposed through “Form 47” and the support of the establishment.
Referring to the attack on the memorial gathering of the late Sardar Ataullah Mengal, Achakzai described it as the “worst example of state terrorism.” He said the strike had sent a clear message that the people of Balochistan are ready to make every sacrifice for the protection of the constitution, democracy, peace, and their national rights.
“This strike will be remembered as a milestone in history and will keep alive the resistance and struggle of oppressed nations for their legitimate rights,” Achakzai declared. Quoting a Hadith, he added, “Speaking the truth before a tyrant ruler is the best form of jihad, and we will continue this jihad.”
