Jacobabad (ANN): The Peshawar-to-Quetta bound Jaffar Express was brought to an unexpected halt at Jacobabad Railway Station on Friday due to security concerns, leaving passengers distressed and uncertain.
According to railway officials, the train was stopped temporarily as a precautionary measure. The sudden halt created panic among travelers, many of whom were left stranded at the station.
Railway authorities arranged alternative transport to ensure passengers could continue their journey to Quetta. Officials further stated that fares for the Jacobabad-to-Quetta segment were refunded to all passengers.
They clarified that the decision was made solely on security grounds and was not linked to any technical fault. However, passengers expressed frustration and urged the railway administration to adopt preventive measures in the future to avoid such last-minute disruptions.
