QUETTA (ANN): Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Kakar has reaffirmed the government’s determination to bring revolutionary changes in the province’s healthcare sector, stressing that providing affordable and quality medical facilities to the people remains a top priority.
Speaking to a delegation of journalists, the Minister said that urgent measures are being taken to overcome the lack of healthcare facilities in remote and underdeveloped areas of Balochistan. He added that the provincial cabinet, in its recent meeting, approved significant decisions, including the establishment of the modern Prince Fahd Hospital in Dalbandin and the introduction of the Hospital Waste Management Rules 2025.
“These initiatives will directly benefit the people and ensure a substantial improvement in the quality of healthcare services across hospitals,” Kakar noted.
He further stated that the government is working on a comprehensive plan to upgrade basic health units in rural areas and address the shortage of doctors and medical staff. “Every citizen, whether living in urban centers or remote villages, deserves equal access to healthcare,” he emphasized.
The Health Minister highlighted that along with reforms, modern medical equipment and technology are being introduced to ensure patients receive the same level of treatment available in major cities.
Appealing to the public for cooperation, Kakar said: “Together, we can turn the dream of a healthier Balochistan into reality.”
