Qilla Saifullah (6 AM Report): Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Khan Bugti, has declared that political differences aside, the entire province is united against terrorism and will never bow down to extremists. He said terrorism, whether in the name of religion or ethnicity, is nothing but brutality and an open act of hostility against the nation.
Addressing a large public gathering in Qilla Saifullah on the invitation of MPA Maulvi Noorullah, CM Bugti strongly condemned the recent suicide attack on a political rally in Quetta. He extended condolences to the bereaved families, saying, “Killing innocent citizens and travelers is an unforgivable crime. Terrorists will be brought to justice, and the people of Balochistan will stand as a wall of resistance.”
He stressed that Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance, and brotherhood, adding that those who pick up arms in the name of religion are enemies of faith, while those exploiting nationalism are only pursuing agendas to weaken the country.
On governance and development, the Chief Minister announced several projects for Qilla Saifullah and surrounding areas, including the establishment of a Daanish School, upgrading of roads, construction of a football stadium with modern facilities, and the building of the Kan Mehtarzai Dam to tackle water scarcity. He also promised job opportunities for local youth in both the police and Levies forces, stressing that Balochistan’s natural resources belong first and foremost to its people.
Bugti further announced that new districts are being established across the province on administrative grounds and assured that Muslim Bagh will soon be given district status.
He reaffirmed that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, road blockades, tire burning, and acts that endanger the lives of patients, travelers, and ordinary citizens will not be tolerated.
“I will stand by the Constitution and the law. No one will be allowed to hold the public hostage,” he asserted.
The gathering was also attended by provincial ministers, MPAs, tribal elders, and a large number of citizens. Concluding his speech, CM Bugti thanked Maulvi Noorullah, Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, and the people of Qilla Saifullah for their overwhelming support, emphasizing that tribal unity and mutual respect remain unbreakable.
