Quetta (6 AM Report): Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mina Majeed Baloch, emphasized that young people are the backbone of any nation and the true drivers of development. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Inter-University Anti-Corruption Day Sports Festival 2025 held at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), she highlighted the government’s commitment to youth welfare, education, and positive character building.
Minister Majeed Baloch said that youth should channel their energy into knowledge, research, sports, and social service to transform Balochistan into a strong, peaceful, and dignified province. She added that if young people embrace honesty, discipline, and research, societal issues like corruption and misconduct can be eliminated naturally.
She noted that the provincial government has formulated effective policies to promote sports, youth leadership, and better employment opportunities, enabling young people to develop their skills and contribute actively to the province’s progress.
Highlighting the importance of awareness campaigns, the minister stressed that the government is taking steps to protect youth from anti-state propaganda. She urged young people to act wisely and avoid participating in any actions or narratives that could harm national interests. “The state represents our identity, protection, and guarantee of the future. Acting against it is equivalent to undermining our own foundations,” she said.
Mina Majeed Baloch also highlighted the role of sports in building patience, teamwork, and discipline among youth – qualities she described as essential for a healthy society and transparent governance. She confirmed that the government’s sports policy ensures opportunities for all athletes and that modern sports complexes are being established across all divisions of the province.
She urged young people to base their lives on honesty, service, and patriotism, calling it the path to success and respect. She further said, “Loving the state means respecting the law, performing duties with integrity, and safeguarding national resources as a moral responsibility.”
The minister congratulated the BUITEMS administration, NAB Balochistan, and all teams involved in organizing the successful event. She encouraged the youth to raise a collective voice against corruption, emphasizing that the fight against corruption is central to securing Pakistan’s bright future.
