Quetta (6 AM Report): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday. During the meeting, the PHF president briefed the chief minister on the national team’s recent performance and preparations for the upcoming Pro League.
Chief Minister Bugti congratulated the federation on its achievements, noting that the present leadership has played a remarkable role in promoting hockey not only across Pakistan but also on the international stage. He lauded the national players’ performances in recent events, saying they had brought pride to the country.
He assured the PHF of the provincial government’s full support for the promotion of hockey in Balochistan and nationwide, with the goal of restoring the sport to its former glory. In return, PHF President Tariq Hussain Bugti thanked the chief minister, expressing optimism that with the provincial government’s cooperation, hockey would flourish once again both in Balochistan and across Pakistan. On the occasion, the PHF president also presented a commemorative souvenir to the chief minister.
