RAWALPINDI (6 AM Report): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), HJ, reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering support for the people of Balochistan in their quest for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development during a visit to Turbat on Wednesday.
The visit was aimed at reviewing the prevailing security situation, assessing ongoing development initiatives, and strengthening civil-military coordination to promote stability in southern Balochistan.
On his arrival, the COAS was received by the Corps Commander Balochistan. He was briefed in detail on the region’s security dynamics, including the threat landscape and recent successful operations against hostile elements, particularly those linked to Fitna al-Hindustan. He was also updated on socio-economic development efforts underway in the province.
During a high-level meeting with Chief Minister Balochistan, Chief Secretary, and senior civil administration officials, Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the importance of good governance, infrastructure development, and people-centric, inclusive growth.
He underscored the necessity of joint civil-military efforts to address the unique challenges faced by the people of Balochistan and pledged full support for all initiatives aimed at uplifting the region, particularly southern Balochistan.
Later, during his interaction with troops stationed in the area, the COAS lauded their high morale, operational preparedness, and steadfast dedication to defending national sovereignty. He appreciated their vital role in ensuring peace and stability under difficult conditions.
