QUETTA: (ANN) – Member of the Balochistan Assembly and PML-N leader Zarak Khan Mandokhail has said that the development and prosperity of the country and nation are linked to education. He stressed that along with regional development, education and skill-building are essential to meet modern challenges.
In a statement, Mandokhail expressed his desire that every child in his constituency, as well as across Balochistan, should achieve success in education. “An educated and healthy society is my foremost priority,” he remarked.
Highlighting the province’s backwardness compared to other regions of the country, the MPA noted that the literacy rate in Balochistan is extremely low. He regretted that many parents, due to poverty, engage their children in labor at an early age instead of sending them to school, thus putting their future at risk.
He said the provincial government would strive to ensure access to education at the doorstep of every child, but unfortunately, thousands of children are still being deprived of this fundamental right. He urged education officers and teachers to take their responsibilities seriously, perform their duties diligently, and provide all facilities necessary for learning and skills development.
“An educated and healthy constituency is my dream,” Mandokhail said, emphasizing that providing education and healthcare remains his top priority. He added that nations progress rapidly when their citizens are equipped with knowledge.
