SOHBATPUR (6 AM Report): Deputy Commissioner Sohbatpur, Farida Tareen, has directed officials of the Buildings Department to ensure uncompromised quality in all construction projects and to complete them within the stipulated timeframe by utilizing all available resources.
She emphasized that the government is spending substantial funds on education and public welfare, making it the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to deliver projects that are durable and beneficial for the people in the long term.
During her visit, the DC inspected the under-construction Government Girls College Sohbatpur and the District Complex Building, reviewing ongoing construction activities in detail. Executive Engineer Buildings, Irfan Ali, briefed her on the current progress, challenges, and measures being taken to overcome them.
DC Tareen noted that the Girls College will provide greater opportunities for higher education to local female students, while the District Complex will allow citizens to access all government offices and facilities at one location after its completion.
She instructed the officers to accelerate the pace of work and ensure complete transparency in fund utilization, warning that negligence in development projects would not be tolerated.
Other officials of the Buildings Department were also present and shared updates on the latest status of the projects.
