Quetta (UNA): The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Composite Circle in Gwadar has foiled multiple attempts of illegal border crossing, arresting 14 individuals, including an Iranian citizen, during separate operations.
According to FIA officials, nine of the arrested suspects—hailing from Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Sanghar, and Sheikhupura—were intercepted in Jiwani while attempting to cross into Iran via sea with the intention of further illegal travel to other countries.
In a separate operation, five individuals, including an Iranian national, were detained while attempting to illegally enter Pakistan through the PB-250 Gubd land route.
The FIA has registered cases against all suspects and launched further investigations into the matter. Officials reiterated their resolve to curb human smuggling and illegal border crossings, stressing that strict action will continue against those involved in such activities.
