Quetta (6 AM Report): Governor of Balochistan, Jaafar Khan Mandokhel, emphasized that while the province’s resources are limited, the challenges are numerous, making it impossible to address all public issues simultaneously. Despite this, the government is making conscious efforts to resolve citizens’ concerns.
The Governor made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation led by prominent businessman Sadiq Khan Adowzi. He stated that from border trade to industry and commerce, and from educational institutions to youth employment, the government not only listens attentively to public issues but also regularly informs relevant authorities to ensure timely action.
“Undoubtedly, Chaman and Taftan are two vital border trade centers in Balochistan, supporting the livelihoods of thousands of people. The current government is committed to promoting border trade while fostering economic activity across the province,” Governor Mandokhel said. He further added that promoting border trade is a key driver of provincial economic growth and prosperity.
Later, the Governor held a separate meeting with a delegation led by Habibullah Achakzai, President of the Central Chaman Traders Association. The delegation highlighted the challenges faced by traders and business communities in Chaman. In response, Governor Mandokhel acknowledged that many major national-level business personalities hail from Chaman and can play a pivotal role in establishing new factories and industries, creating employment opportunities for the youth.
Answering a query, the Governor assured that efforts are underway to eliminate electricity load-shedding in Chaman and to ensure the provision of clean drinking water to residents.
Governor Mandokhel reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing public grievances promptly and to fostering economic growth and development across Balochistan.
