ORMARA (6 AM Report) An attempt by trawling mafia to enter Balochistan’s territorial waters was foiled by the Fisheries Department during a routine patrol off the coast of Ormara.
According to officials, despite repeated warnings, several trawling boats tried to breach Balochistan’s limits. The Fisheries patrol team responded swiftly, opening fire to push the trawlers back. Many of the boats fled the area following the intervention.
The Fisheries Department confirmed that its patrol teams remain on high alert to curb illegal trawling and safeguard the rights of local fishermen. Strict measures are being enforced under a zero-tolerance policy to preserve marine resources and prevent exploitation by illegal operators.
