PISHIN (ANN): Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Ahmed Qazi, the district administration of Pishin carried out a major operation against illegal Afghan nationals in Saranan town and its adjoining refugee camp.
The operation was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Engineer Najam Kabzai, along with Assistant Commissioner Naveed Baloch, Levies Force, and FC personnel. Several shops run by Afghan nationals in Saranan city were sealed, while more than 100 illegal Afghan residents were arrested from the refugee camp. During the campaign, five illegally built houses were also demolished.
According to officials, resistance erupted when Afghan refugees protested the demolitions and deportation drive, pelting stones at the administration. However, security forces managed the situation with professionalism and discipline, ensuring the successful completion of the operation.
Later, ADC Engineer Najam Kabzai, accompanied by district administration and FC personnel, conducted snap checking on the Yaro–Saranan road. Speaking on the occasion, he said the process of repatriating Afghan nationals from Pishin will intensify in the coming days, with deportation operations continuing daily until complete evacuation is achieved.
It is noteworthy that, following federal and provincial government directives, the district administration has accelerated actions since September 1, 2025, against illegal Afghan residents. Announcements are also being made via loudspeakers in refugee camps, including Surkhab Camp and Killi Tarata, warning illegal settlers to vacate voluntarily or face deportation.
