QUETTA (ANN) — Balochistan’s Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Khan Umrani, has said that politics should never be a means of personal gain or power, but rather a path of public service. Speaking to various delegations in his office on Friday, he emphasized that every step of his political journey is dedicated to the welfare, progress, and prosperity of the people.
“My strength lies in the people of Naseerabad. Humility is my greatest ornament, and service is the identity of my politics,” he remarked. Umrani added that his vision centers on making people’s lives easier by providing employment opportunities to youth, irrigation water to farmers, healthcare to patients, and education to children. “For me, public service is not power, but worship,” he noted.
Highlighting his department’s achievements, Umrani said that under his leadership the Irrigation Department has revived canals in Naseerabad after decades, repaired old schemes, and ensured that new water channels deliver water to the tail end. Improving agriculture and uplifting farmers remain his foremost priorities, as Naseerabad’s development depends on its farmlands and irrigation.
Public circles lauded Mir Sadiq Umrani for his humility, simplicity, and dedication, describing him as a shining example of people-centric politics and service in Balochistan.
