QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has said that ensuring active participation of youth in the development of society is one of the greatest challenges of the present era. He warned that a lack of positive opportunities for young people leads to frustration, alienation, and the breakdown of social harmony.
Speaking to a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Youth Wing led by provincial general secretary Mir Sajad Raisani, the governor underlined the responsibility of political and youth leadership to instill positive thinking and a people-friendly approach among the new generation.
Governor Mandokhail acknowledged the hardships faced by the youth due to poverty, unemployment, and rising inflation, noting that urgent and practical measures are needed at both public and private levels to create employment opportunities across the province.
He added that all public sector universities in Balochistan have been directed to focus not only on quality education but also on equipping students with modern skills, including online IT training, to prepare them for the demands of the future.
The governor emphasized that merit and transparency in government jobs and competitive examinations must be ensured so that capable and hardworking young people can contribute effectively to the progress of the province and the country. “Balochistan’s youth are equally talented and intelligent as those in other provinces. They only need opportunities and facilities to play their rightful role in national development,” he said.
